One of the classics.

The plot of the film centers around a team of cheerleaders attempting to earn enough money for a trip to Dallas, Texas to try out for the famous Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad. In the movie the squad had the fictional name "Cowgirls", but it was seen as a take on the real-life Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Each girl tries her hand at a different job (e.g. washing cars, babysitting) only to find herself in a sexual encounter with her employer.



Contrary to the title, the film is not set in Dallas nor does the titular Debbie have sex with anyone in Dallas.



Several scenes in the film were shot in the Pratt Institute Library in Brooklyn, New York without the administration's knowledge or approval.



The movie spawned a number of sequels and spin-offs including "Debbie Does New Orleans" and "Debbie Does Wall Street". It has also been remade with contemporary porn stars. In 2002 Debbie Does Dallas was made into an off-Broadway musical comedy. Unlike the original movie, the musical does not contain any sex or nudity, which caused some disappointment among people, as false hype had been made and the musical's producers did nothing to dismiss it.



Nobody knows anything about star Bambi Woods whereabouts. Some say she died of overdose back in 1986, but it hasn't been prooved.
