With periodic flashbacks and fantasy sequences, Exposed, in terms of its narrative structure at least, is a bit more complicated than your average sexploitation picture. While on the surface Lena is a typical, if flawed, central character the film lets us get into her head enough that even if we don't completely see her as an innocent, we can at least feel for her. Her plight with Helge and his blackmailing ways is a sticky situation to be sure and while his coercion into the world of kinky sex allows for many titillating sequences, you can't help but feel sorry for Lena. That said, she uses her sexuality to put herself in rather precarious situations and at times you almost wonder if she subconsciously wants the dysfunction that seems to follow her around. Consider this alongside the way that she's treated by most of the men in the film, whose eyes linger on her quite voraciously, and you're left trying to figure out how much of her dire situation she's put herself in, rather than found herself in.

"it is simply the best gypsy movie, translating so well their thirst of freedom, for 'the road'...i saw it on tv as 'Les Tziganes s'en vont vers les cieux, in a children-family program, but i think it surpasses all the Kusturica-Gatlif spoofs depicting Gypsies. This one here depicts all the tragedy of the gypsy people, torn between materialism and freedom. The opening is a piece of anthology as the old sage predicts Zabor his near future and warns him : Dont trust any woman...and remember that freedom is the most important value...' And ahhh....Svetlana!!! so marvelous dancing and saying to Zabor : 'Dont look at me this way, it's forbidden...' SYNOPSIS
Nathalie Baldassari catches her husband in the act with a prostitute and
subsequently kills him. She is sent to prison for 10 years. During her imprisonment,
Nathalie begins experiencing mental-health problems and concentrates her hatred
towards every woman. Out of prison a series of brutal killings starts in Venezia,
while a police commisioner investigates. Her last victim finds her diary and tells
us the sordid story.

Martijn visits, after several years without contact, his sister Daantje (Kim Van Kooten) who has just started to live on her own in Amsterdam. Martijn enters her life with a videocamera.

Although already 10 years old, this movie remains one of the most inventive films ever made in the Netherlands, and launched the careers of Kim van Kooten and the director, Robert-Jan Westdijk. The captivating performance by Kim van Kooten and her talking into the camera gave me the feeling that I was intruding in something very private.Her fantastic looks in a "girl next door" kind of way, made that feeling even stronger. The supporting cast are also very true to life. I do not want to give anything away of the storyline, since the viewer really has to let himself get drawn into the story and experience the fantastic twist at the end.It is still a shame that dutch cinema is not seen on a bigger platform, due to the language barrier and that it seems that even academy award winning films like The Assault, Antonia and Character are largely unknown outside the Netherlands and the relatively small group of European film lovers in America.

I just watched this movie again last week and I forgot what a good story that it is for a made for television movie.The movie has an excellent cast.Bonnie Bedelia,Ben Murphy and Lew Ayres are excellent actors.This story reminds all of us what it is like to live in the summertime without the benefit of a good air conditioner in your home or in the car.I was reminded of what it was like when I was expecting a child in the month of August and it was miserable without air conditioning.If you want to see a good story with excellent actors then check this one out.This movie is appropriate for the entire family.I have this movie.

Following his father's death lobster fisherman David decides to move to London in search of fame and fortune. Lodging in an all-female boarding house he finds himself with a rather enviable problem: all the girls fancy him!

The bashful David is initially reticent, but soon lands himself a role in a sex film and then a job selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door - where he's a big hit with the bored housewives. After enjoying a series of erotic adventures, David returns to his home village older, wiser, and a little more experienced!

Walter, a German anarchist poet, is short of money after his publisher refuses to give him an advance. He tries various ways of raising money, including shooting one of his mistresses and relying on the life savings of a woman from the country who is fanatically devoted to him. He also has to contend with his long-suffering wife, his fly-obsessed crazy brother, his other mistress and a police murder investigation.

A Review:

This is my favorite Fassbinder movie and this for several reasons. The most important of these is, that the movie has a rhythmical quality from the beginning to the end. Also there are literally hundreds of remarkable quotes inside. It is black humorous, funny and the overacting is terrific. It is amazing how Fassbinder manages to change the mood radically from scene to scene, how he is playing with emotion, speed and dynamic.

In this drama, a soldier's widow, whose husband died a hero in WW II, begins a quest to find the five men whose lives were saved when her husband sacrificed his own life by taking the brunt of a hand grenade blast. Her search begins two years after the war's end, and is an attempt to see if the men were worthy of her husband's death. En route she is slightly hurt in a minor accident and becomes hysterically paralyzed and unable to walk. One of the soldiers she was looking for tries to help her overcome her hysteria by using hypnosis. While she sleeps, he allows her to "talk" to all the soldiers involved in the incident. In this way, she is able to accept her husband's death. Seeing that the hypnotist is himself filled with guilt about the death, she in turn hypnotizes him.

Plot:
Three druggists travel with a Milquetoast inventor, Schuyler, and his girlfriend, Diane, to ancient Greece on a newly invented time machine. There, the evil tyrant, Odius, takes a shine to the woman and has the guys enslaved as galley rowers using the excuse of the three druggists helping a rebel leader, Ulysses, escape. The rigors of the rowing pump Schuyler up into a muscleman with strength comparable to Hercules himself, who is in the employ of Odius. The threesome get the idea of raising money by promoting Schuyler as Hercules for a series of physical contests. Using a combination of his great strength and, a judicious use of a large supply of potent tranquilizers Curly-Joe brought with him, Schuyler is a success. However, this leads to trouble when the real McCoy learns about the imposter.
